Sergio Patino, chief financial officer of High Tide Inc., will step away from his role, the company announced Friday.

A new candidate will assume the CFO position May 1. High Tide reported that it will release the new candidate’s name and biographical information at a later date.

Patino will “remain engaged” with High Tide for a mutually agreed upon period during the transition.

Patino, a chartered professional accountant (CPA), joined High Tide as a financial consultant in 2022. He was named interim chief financial officer in February 2023, succeeding Rahim Kanji.

Prior to joining High Tide, Patino was chief financial officer of the Americas for a large mining construction company. He has work experience in finance, strategy, supply chain, project accounting & controls, process and systems improvement, gained from roles held in large, publicly traded companies in the oil and gas, mining and heavy construction industries.
