The Boston Beer Company expanded into the cannabis arena in 2022, launching the TeaPot infused tea brand in Canada.
Seng Robertson, technical director, cannabis R&D, said the move was logical for the CPG company, which owns major brands in the beer and hard beverage categories.
“Boston Beer Company is really a brand-building organization and especially in the emerging markets,” she said. “When you think about the Boston Beer Company, you think of Sam Adams, leaders in the craft brewing industry; Truly, one of the first in the hard seltzers; and Twisted Tea, the hard iced tea. It only makes sense that the Boston Beer enters the foray into cannabis.”
