David Sabbagh, Senior Group Manager of Applications Development at DuPont Nutrition & Health, is a chemical engineer with a strong background in food and beverage product development. He has been with DuPont Nutrition & Health for 16 years in multiple R&D roles, including Process R&D, Engineering and Food Applications Development. He also spent four years on the 8th Continent joint venture between DuPont & General Mills, developing new processes and products. Sabbagh’s current product-development emphasis is focused on the beverage industry. He leads a 14-person team of research fellows, scientists and technologists focused on creating novel applications of breakthrough ingredient technologies and delivering product-development innovations and solutions to a diverse consumer packaged goods and foodservice customer base. The team drives applications development throughout the industry translating consumer insight needs into comprehensive development solutions spanning the company’s integrated product portfolio, including protein, fiber, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, blend systems, probiotics, sweeteners, enzymes, protectants and targeted functional extracts.
