Flowe Technologies co-founder and CEO Jim Makoso has been appointed to the Washington State Social Equity in Cannabis Task Force.

In addition to co-founding and leading Flowe Technologies as CEO, Makoso is also the director of the Lucid Lab Group, vice-chair of the NCIA Scientific Advisory Committee and serves on various boards and committees around the country in addition to volunteering in his community.

“I am humbled and honored to be appointed to this Task Force by Speaker Jinkins and Lieutenant Governor Heck,” Makoso said. “The opportunity to help Washington state drive equity and inclusion in our state industry is a top priority for me personally and reflects the priorities and values we try to instill in our businesses.”

The Task Force is also charged with advising the governor and legislature on policies that will facilitate social equity in the cannabis industry. The Task Force must submit a final report to the legislature and governor by Dec. 9, 2022.
