BDSA: Memorial Day Weekend Expected to Bring Strong Cannabis Sales
Half of consumers seek cannabis for “daytime fun” purposes.
BDSA expects Memorial Day weekend to bring blockbuster cannabis sales as consumers — many of them fully vaccinated — kick off the summer season.
Looking at last year, the research firm noted Colorado pre-holiday sales were up compared to 2019, with around a 25 percent increase for both the Friday and Saturday before the holiday. With fewer to no pandemic-related restrictions, sales could perform even better.
