The inaugural CPX20: Cannabis Products Exchange event, set for April 21-22 in Denver, will feature a presentation from Mark Grindeland, co-founder and CEO of Coda Signature, on strategies for entering the cannabis edibles industry.
Grindeland will offer proven expertise on the complexities of launching an edibles brand sustainably and successfully. From ingredient sourcing and extraction methods to testing and manufacturing practices, Grindeland will discuss what the future holds in terms of trends for cannabis edibles and offer lessons he’s learned from building one of the premium brands in this competitive space.
Coda Signature, based in Denver, CO, is a national cannabis-infused products company that manufactures wholesale premium infused chocolates, pâte de fruit, topicals and concentrates for the medicinal and adult-use markets. The company’s products have earned national recognition, including being featured in gift bags for Oscar nominees.
In addition to founding Coda Signature, Grindeland founded The Grow Foundry, a national vertically integrated cannabis company. Grindeland also co-founded Altum Investments, a national real estate investment company that specializes in large commercial facilities and retail centers.
Grindeland has also served as chief marketing officer for TeleTech Holdings, a leading global provider of analytics-driven, technology-enabled customer experience business solutions, where he oversaw branding, corporate and marketing strategy, product development, as well as internal and external marketing communications.
Before joining TeleTech, Grindeland served as chairman and co-founder of ShesConnected Multimedia Corporation, the first multi-profile social networking site for women. He has held executive-level positions with Live Wire Mobile, was CEO of Wunderman in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, senior vice president at Digitas, and co-founder of Exchange Partners. He also co-founded and served as executive vice president of marketing for m-Qube Incorporated, which was sold to Verisign in 2006 for $250 million.
In 2013, Grindeland was honored by the Business Marketing Association of Colorado as “Marketer of the Year.” In 2018, he was named one of the industry’s ten MVPs by the Cannabis Business Awards.
